Junior Brand Consultant – Aarhus

At ZUPA, we are looking for a Junior Brand Consultants to our Aarhus office for about 15 hours per week.

About ZUPA: ZUPA is a Brand Agency working with strategy, creativity, and communication. We are passionate about creating solutions that surprise, inspire, and enrich – both internally and externally for the brands and companies we work with. We work with a broad portfolio, but the common denominator is that they are larger Danish and international brands, with a predominance of B2B brands.

We are a workplace with room for diversity and human values. You will encounter diversity in skills, personalities, nationalities, ages, etc. We work dynamically with projects, so no day is ever static or boring. It is crucial that you see yourself as an integrated part of the company, daily life, and colleagues, because we know that is a prerequisite for succeeding and growing in the role. This also means we prioritize talent, ambition, chemistry, and human values over experience, references, and skills.

We are about 35 employees across two locations in Aarhus and Copenhagen. ZUPA is part of Spring Family, Denmark’s largest agency group, which includes three agencies – ZUPA, ZITE, and Spring CC – with about 450 employees across 10+ locations in Denmark and abroad.

Tasks:

Client-related tasks:

  • Presentations: Preparation of client-related presentations and reports (including layout, finalization with graphic designers, contributing to content, proofreading in Danish and English)
  • Insight work and research: Analysis of reports, statistics, notes, workshop insights, etc., and condensing insights into relevant findings.
  • Pitch / NewBizz: Pitches often come at inconvenient times in relation to existing client projects. This means the team often needs assistance during these periods. The idea is that the Brand Director will handle the first and last 25% with you, but your task will be to take on a large part of the work in the middle.
  • Supporting the Brand Director: Meeting notes, action points, follow-up after meetings – ensuring high structure and attention to detail during busy periods or meeting-heavy days.
  • Simple ad hoc: Relieving the Brand Director with internal planning, follow-up, and similar tasks.

Depending on your skills and interests, we hope the position will develop to include a greater degree of independent brand strategy work, where you can help challenge, shape, and set direction for the brands we work with.

Internal tasks: The following will be in collaboration with a similar position in Copenhagen, as well as the company’s two Brand Directors.

  • Updating internal client cases and preparing new cases for the website – including versions for social media. This will be done in collaboration with graphic designers and copywriters, but you will be primarily responsible for ongoing execution.
  • Co-responsible for ZUPA’s social media, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. This includes strategy, idea generation for topics, themes, visuals, communication, planning, and execution for each platform.
  • Helping to create and maintain dialogue with relevant trade media to increase ZUPA’s brand visibility.
  • Other relevant brand-promoting initiatives, either suggested by you or us.

You will primarily work closely with the company’s two Brand Directors, but since everything we do is team-based, you will have broad contact across the entire organization – and across skills, roles, and locations.

Your profile:

We expect you to have a natural interest in working at a creative agency and an interest in communication, campaigns, and corporate branding, as well as a desire to work with various types of companies and brands, facing a wide range of marketing challenges that we help solve.

You must therefore thrive with changing tasks, client types, and projects, and be comfortable with the fact that individual tasks are not always 100% defined before you start, as you will be a big part of the development phase. There is a high degree of variability, which you will also help influence. In other words, our work does not always follow linear processes with a set answer.

To succeed in the role, you should see yourself in the following:

  • Curious: An open and curious mind, comfortable with projects and clients evolving and changing, so tasks are rarely linear – curiosity and exploratory thinking are a big part of everyday life with us.
  • Independent: Able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Analytical: Approaches tasks analytically and naturally justifies recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Detail-oriented: Notices errors and shortcomings and is only satisfied when things are done with satisfactory attention to detail.
  • Structured and responsible: Works in a structured way, meets deadlines, and is good at informing and communicating with colleagues.

The following skills are also an advantage:

  • PowerPoint: Strong (or willing to become strong) in building presentations and reports for workshops, client presentations, reports, etc.
  • Excel: Able to work in Excel, but not necessarily at a complex level.

Language skills: Fluent in Danish and English (spoken and written) – most of our clients are large international companies and brands, so much of daily life is in English, including among colleagues.

Period and preferred fields of study: We are looking for a student as our new colleague who can stay with us for at least 1.5 years before finishing their studies. Preferably, you are in the first or second semester of your master’s, or the last semester of your bachelor’s.

You are studying a field within communication, marketing, branding, information science, media studies, or similar at university. If you are in another field but can see yourself in the position, don’t let that stop you from applying. The goal is for you and us to be so happy with the employment that it can become a full-time position after graduation.

Working hours and location:

  • Hours: 10–15 hours per week with the possibility of more.
At times, it will be expected that the workload may vary — both more and less — with flexibility to accommodate student life.
  • Work location: Studsgade 29, 8000 Aarhus (Latinerkvarteret).

You will report to Brand Director Trine Bøndergaard Jakobsen.

We will be conducting interviews on an ongoing basis and will continue until we find the right candidate for the role. If you have any questions regarding the position, please feel free to reach out to Trine Bøndergaard Jakobsen: trbj@zupa.dk
