Finance Director, Aspiring to become CFO

We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our team as Finance Director. This position is a pivotal role for someone looking to take the next natural step in their career, aspiring to become CFO. We are private equity backed and provide ample growth opportunities. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of accounting and controlling to drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting. 
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
  • Manage and lead close to 20 employees in three critical areas - Accounting, Controlling, and IT - ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient execution of financial operations. 
  • Bring an operational mindset to financial decision-making processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Set up and manage KPI’s, challenging the organization to achieve and exceed financial goals.
  • Take charge of legal aspects within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and managing associated risks.
  • Manage external stakeholders such as banks, credit insurances, tax authorities, etc. 
  • Report directly to the CEO as well as to the shareholder, collaborating closely to align financial strategies with overall organizational goals.

Preferred qualifications 

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent qualifications in accounting (e.g. HD). 
  • > 5 years work experience thereof minimum 3 years of experience as Head of Accounting, Finance Manager, Head of Controlling or similar. 
  • Good understanding of controlling, accounting methods, and financial processes, including knowledge of IFRS.
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and proficiency in the Office suite.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
