Science Lab Technician Assistant (Part-time, 60-75%)

What is the job about?

You will support science teaching and learning through:

  • Preparing and organising chemicals, glassware, and scientific equipment

  • Ensuring safe storage of materials, including hazardous substances

  • Assisting teachers with set-up and demonstrations in the lab

  • Conducting regular safety checks (e.g. eyewash stations, fume hoods)

  • Maintaining inventories and ordering lab supplies

  • Providing class cover when needed

  • Participating in planning and lab-based events

What do we expect from you?

Essential:

  • Experience working in a science laboratory environment

  • Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures

  • Ability to organise, plan, and manage stock and equipment

  • A responsible, solution-oriented mindset

  • Basic proficiency in English (school working language)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a school or educational lab setting

  • Knowledge of Danish lab safety regulations

  • Familiarity with IB MYP/DP science curricula
