Science Lab Tech Assistant / Laboratorieassistent (Skole)

Imagine a Grade 9 student lighting up when their experiment finally works - because the setup was flawless, the safety gear was in place, and the support was right there. That’s where you come in. You’ll be the go-to person for lab logistics, equipment prep, and safety checks - enabling engaging, hands-on science lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence.
Part-time position (60-75 %, to be determined with the candidate)
Based in the Secondary School Science department
Workdays aligned with the school calendar (school holidays off)

You will support science teaching and learning through:
Preparing and organising chemicals, glassware, and scientific equipment
Ensuring safe storage of materials, including hazardous substances
Assisting teachers with set-up and demonstrations in the lab
Conducting regular safety checks (e.g. eyewash stations, fume hoods)
Maintaining inventories and ordering lab supplies
Providing class cover when needed
Participating in planning and lab-based events
Essential:
Experience working in a science laboratory environment
Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures
Ability to organise, plan, and manage stock and equipment
A responsible, solution-oriented mindset
Basic proficiency in English (school working language)
Desirable:
Previous experience in a school or educational lab setting
Knowledge of Danish lab safety regulations
Familiarity with IB MYP/DP science curricula
