Copywriter

 

Write stories that move people. We’re looking for a Copywriter to join Kontrapunkt’s Copenhagen office - someone who can transform strategic insight into compelling copy, creative campaigns, and brand experiences across all touchpoints.

Since 1985, we’ve helped shape cultural and commercial brands from our studios in Copenhagen, Tokyo and New York. From banks and museums to mobility giants and purpose-driven scale-ups, we craft brands that don’t just reflect culture - but move it forward.


You’ll be part of a team of 50+ creative minds - from designers to brand strategists to motion specialists, type designers and project managers - working together to deliver intelligent and surprising brand stories for ambitious clients in Denmark and internationally.


The position:

As Copywriter at Kontrapunkt, you’ll help shape the voice, tone and messaging of the brands we build. You’ll work across strategy, design, campaigns and communication - writing everything from brand platforms and manifestos to campaign concepts, film narratives, headlines, social copy, digital experiences, and everything in between.


Responsibilities:


  • Craft core narratives, messaging frameworks and tone of voice guidelines for brand platforms
  • Create engaging campaign concepts and content - from taglines, headlines, to film scripts, social posts, and digital copy
  • Translate complex strategies into copy that connects with audiences across platforms and formats
  • Collaborate closely with strategists and designers to bring integrated ideas to life
  • Contribute to pitch work, workshops and concept development
  • Ensure clarity, consistency and quality across all written deliverables

Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in creative copywriting ideally from an agency or a creative in-house function

  • Relevant education in communication, journalism, rhetorics, or a similar field

  • A strong and versatile portfolio demonstrating writing across different tones, formats and channels

  • Proven experience crafting brand narratives, messaging frameworks and tone of voice guidelines

  • Confident in idea development and concept work for campaigns and activations

  • Excellent writing skills in both Danish and English

  • Strong presentation and collaboration skills - comfortable working with clients and teams

  • A clear understanding of branding, design and strategic communication

  • Experience with sustainability/ESG/purpose-driven communication is a plus

  • Able to balance abstract and concrete thinking, and adapt tone and messaging to different contexts and audiences

  • Naturally curious, culturally aware and eager to learn
