We are seeking an Origination Manager to lead greenfield project origination efforts in Japan, primarily focused on BESS and selective wind/solar opportunities. This role reports to the CDO and works closely with the origination, investment, technical and commercial teams.
As an Origination Manager, you are responsible for identifying project opportunities based on requirements from investors. These may include IRR requirements, risk profile, offtake (tenure, volumes), timeline, CAPEX requirements, including equity deployment requirements, and project types, including technology type and whether it is looking at greenfield, repowering or acquisitions.
You role will be to work with our existing highly skilled Origination team to translate investment requirements into investment opportunities and present these to our investors.
Strong understanding of Japanese power market structure, FIP & merchant exposure, grid congestion and curtailment risks.
Native Japanese & business-level English required
Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences, including landowners, government officials, and corporate stakeholders.
Effective collaboration with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a high-demand environment.
