Shape the future of outsourcing governance within a leading financial services organization

On behalf of one of Denmark's leading financial services organizations within the automotive and mobility sector, Nikolajsen & Partners is seeking an experienced Outsourcing Manager to play a key role in strengthening and developing the company's outsourcing governance framework.

Operating in a highly regulated environment, the organization places significant strategic focus on effective third-party governance, regulatory compliance and operational resilience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become a trusted advisor working across the business to ensure that outsourcing arrangements support both regulatory expectations and business objectives.

The position is currently part of the Legal & Compliance department and involves close collaboration with stakeholders across Procurement, IT, Operations and external service providers. As the role continues to evolve, you will have a genuine opportunity to help shape its future organizational positioning and influence where it creates the greatest value for the business.

A key governance role with broad organizational impact

As Outsourcing Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and continuously developing the organization's outsourcing governance framework. Partnering closely with service owners, business stakeholders and control functions, you will coordinate governance activities across the outsourcing lifecycle, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure outsourced arrangements comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies and governance standards.

As a trusted advisor, you will support stakeholders in managing third-party relationships and driving effective outsourcing governance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and continuously improving the company's outsourcing governance framework
  • Acting as the central coordination point between Service Owners, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, IT and external service providers
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and outsourcing governance standards
  • Coordinating outsourcing risk assessments, supplier due diligence and third-party risk evaluations throughout the supplier lifecycle
  • Supporting Service Owners in fulfilling their governance and oversight responsibilities for outsourced services
  • Maintaining the Outsourcing Register and ensuring the quality, completeness and accuracy of outsourcing documentation and governance records
  • Supporting contract governance, regulatory documentation requirements and the ongoing monitoring and periodic review of outsourced services
  • Facilitating governance processes, committee reporting and follow-up on decisions and action plans
  • Monitoring supplier risks, remediation plans and compliance obligations, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Supporting internal audits, regulatory inspections and the implementation of audit and regulatory recommendations
  • Advising business stakeholders on outsourcing-related matters and promoting awareness of outsourcing governance requirements
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvements to governance processes, controls and documentation

  • A solid understanding of Outsourcing Governance and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) principles
  • A good understanding of regulatory requirements and governance frameworks governing outsourcing, including the EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, Operational Risk (OPR) and Internal Control
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a structured approach to documentation
  • The ability to identify risks, assess impacts and translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across multiple business functions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex governance and regulatory topics in a clear and pragmatic way
  • A collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Fluency in both Danish and English

You work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
