Are you excited about purchasing and category management? Do you want to be responsible for entire categories at one of the largest DIYretailers in Denmark? Then you might be our new Category Manager!

Together with the Co-Head of Category Management and your team colleagues, you will be the driving force for the development of your own

categories. You will be responsible for the performance of your categories and all related commercial interests – such as development of the

assortments, negotiating with suppliers, and planning campaigns. You will also be involved in strategic projects where you can align your ideas

and work results with project steering committees. You will be responsible for Outdoor build. 

Main responsibilities

• Ensure an optimal assortment and supplier portfolio that meets our customers' needs.
• Develop strategies and concepts that match customer behaviours and preferences.
• Structure and maintain content on silvan.dk with relevance for your categories.
• Monitor competitors' initiatives and pricing.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's university degree.
• Experience with development of categories and project management.
• Experience from either the retail or supplier side.
• Strong analytical skills and good financial understanding.
• Super user in Excel and PowerPoint.
• English and Danish written and verbal at business level.

It is important you are curious and inquisitive to gain a deep knowledge of assigned categories and projects. In addition, we expect you to have a

holistic approach to your categories and concepts, where you see them in a larger perspective and avoid sub-optimization and silo thinking.
