Project Engineer – Flue Gas Condensation System

Help us shape the future of green energy

Do you want to play a key role in the green energy transition – and help shape how future biomass plants are designed and built? At Dall Energy, we are combining innovation, engineering excellence, and climate ambition to deliver cleaner, smarter energy solutions.

Across Europe, the demand for sustainable energy is accelerating. Cities and utilities are looking for alternatives that are not just greener, but also smarter and more financially viable. That’s where Dall Energy makes a difference. We design and deliver Combined Heat and Power plants powered by our patented gasification technology – a solution that outperforms conventional systems in both efficiency and flexibility.

Our plants are built to run reliably across the entire load range while using low-grade, cost-effective biomass fuels. It’s a technology that opens up new possibilities for sustainable energy – and sets the stage for ambitious engineers to contribute with practical, future-proof solutions.

We’re growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Project Engineer to join our technical team and work with the design and implementation of our flue gas condensation system. You’ll collaborate closely with our Product Line Manager (PLM), who has overall responsibility for the system area – and your role will be to transform concepts and system standards into detailed design, supplier specifications, and high-quality project execution.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll be involved in every stage of the flue gas condensation system – from early design and specification to supplier coordination, installation follow-up, and commissioning support. Working alongside the PLM and your colleagues in the technical department, you’ll help turn complex functional requirements into robust technical solutions that perform reliably in real-world operation.

The system typically includes fiberglass tanks, plastic piping, heat exchangers, pumps, and a condensate treatment unit that removes heavy metals and other contaminants before discharge. Designing for long life and stable performance requires careful material selection and a solid understanding of system chemistry and thermal behavior.

You’ll be part of a dedicated technical team where engineers, process specialists, designers, and project managers collaborate across disciplines. And because we’re a relatively small and agile company, your experience will be valued – and your input will have a real impact.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the design and development of the flue gas condensation system
  • Preparing technical specifications and documentation for tanks, piping, heat exchangers, pumps, and water treatment equipment
  • Supporting supplier selection, manufacturing follow-up, and on-site installation
  • Contributing to commissioning activities and lessons learned
  • Solving technical challenges and supporting related mechanical systems where needed

What you bring to the table

You’re probably educated as a mechanical, chemical, or process engineer – or perhaps as a marine engineer. You bring at least 10 years of professional experience, ideally from the biomass, energy, or process industry, and you’ve worked with system design, technical specifications, and supplier follow-up.

You bring:

  • Practical experience with biomass plants, flue gas condensation, or water treatment – and the ability to specify and evaluate equipment like tanks, piping, heat exchangers, and pumps
  • Solid understanding of materials and water chemistry under thermal and chemical stress – including their impact on long-term system performance
  • Used to working with suppliers, compliance documentation (e.g. CE marking), and fluent communication in English; Danish and French are clear advantages

What it’s like to work with us

At Dall Energy, your expertise doesn’t disappear into a large matrix – it shapes real outcomes. We rely on your experience and professional assessment to help us build not just plants, but the way we work. As part of a small and highly skilled team, you’ll take on broad responsibilities and help define technical solutions, supplier collaborations, and internal standards in your area.

You’ll be involved in projects from early concept to commissioning and beyond – and your input will influence decisions, not just deliverables. We’re growing, and that growth depends on people like you: professionals who want to take ownership, make improvements, and contribute to how we develop as a company.

Where you'll work

Your workplace will be at our office in Hørsholm. Travel to suppliers, construction sites, and operating plants in Denmark and France should be expected – typically around 20–40 travel days per year.
