Technical Project Manager, Zaragoza

We are looking for a senior project manager to engage in our Wind and Solar Engineering team where you will be allocated to a Project Management team who is overseeing development or execution of projects for our clients. You will have valuable role in contributing to drive Wind and Solar PV projects worldwide together with our team of experienced and skilled engineers.

You will join our Wind and Solar project management team, who is working closely with our development team. You will have a valuable, cross-functional role in contributing to the management of Wind and Solar projects worldwide, and you are part of overseeing projects and motivating your team to secure successful client deliverables.

Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your main tasks may include:

  • Technical project management of wind and solar projects - leading projects from early development to successful completion by effective planning, monitoring, de-risking, controlling, and reporting
  • Participation in due diligence and review of solar and wind projects, project management of 30% design package and tender scope of work, support in selection of subcontractors and act as technical project manager on the project throughout construction
  • Technical interface to BOP contractor, OEM, transmission providers and utility
  • Identify and originate project development opportunities of solar and wind projects throughout Spain
  • Lead the full development of projects until the ready to build status
  • Manage permitting process with national and local authorities, grid operators, regulators, market operators and other relevant stakeholders
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuously review and optimize project management processes

Preferably, we expect you to enrich our business with the following experience and skills:

  • Experience from the renewable industry; preferably from construction of wind or solar PV plants or maybe you have experience from oil and gas industry
  • Preferable you have an electrical engineering background combined with project management experience
  • You are able to coordinate across various engineering disciplines and to understand the risk and opportunities of a design
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory framework including Spanish grid connection requirements
  • Ability to see the big picture while working with many tasks and short deadlines
  • Great facilitation skills among people of different cultures and backgrounds
  • Results-oriented and focused on achieving goals with the team
  • Outstanding people and communication skills (English and Spanish)
