Financial Controller for
International Shipping Company

What we offer you
You will become part of the finance team at Lauritzen Bulkers which has six people in Copenhagen, (including you) and two in Singapore. The finance team reports to the CFO of Lauritzen Bulkers.
The finance team is proud to provide all accounting, controlling, reporting, treasury and financial compliance requirements for the J. Lauritzen group.
You will receive introduction and training from your new colleagues and, when up and running, your assignments will include:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports
- Preparation and controlling of interim and annual reports
- Planning, design, implementation and maintenance of accounting processes and reporting models
- Participation in tax planning, compliance (transfer pricing) and tax calculations
- Financial controlling
- Internal control of portfolio investments and subsidiaries
- Coordination with auditors.
You will get opportunities to be involved in upcoming projects as we need to prepare for the additional reporting requirements adopted in the EU (CSRD) and the Pillar II tax reporting framework. We will also be working to upgrade our finance system platform.
To succeed in this role
Being a part of the finance team at Lauritzen Bulkers means that you have a natural interest in numbers and in working in collaboration with your fellow team members.
We think you will be a good match if you have some (or all) of the following competencies:
- Completed education with focus on accounting and audit (cand. merc. aud/FIR or similar)
- Good accounting skills
- Experience with Navision or Microsoft Business Central as well as reporting/consolidation tools
- Strong with Excel. Generally, you are a very capable IT user
- Structured, well organized and attention to detail
- Follow tasks to an end and showing flexibility and capacity
- Are a team player and contributor to the success of the entire finance team
- Fluent in English - as it is our working language
Currently, we use SAP BPC, MS Dynamics NAV (Navision) in the finance department and IMOS is the core business system. Knowledge and working experience with these systems are advantageous but not a requirement.
