What we offer you

The Long Term Book Team at Lauritzen Bulkers are responsible for fixing vessels for a period between 4 and 24 months. We are a small, dynamic and diverse team headquartered in Tuborg Havn (Hellerup) North of Copenhagen and you will work in close collaboration with your new colleagues across our five offices worldwide.

 

You can be a key part of our goal to build a broader fleet of handysize dry bulk carriers for our business. 

 

You will have a high level of responsibility and you will soon be able to set your mark. Your results and achievements will be recognised within our supportive and collaborative work culture.

 

You will receive a thorough introduction and training from your new colleagues and your assignments will include:

 

  • Developing and maintain relationship with key account shipowners
  • Developing and maintain relationship with Key Shipbrokers to assess freight market and period charter market
  • Fixing both main terms and charterparty details
  • Internal communication
  • Co-operating with the team on the update of internal systems

This role will report to the Head of Long Term Book.

Being a part of the chartering team at Lauritzen Bulkers means that you have a natural interest in delivering strong, accountable results and in working in collaboration with your fellow team members.

 

You are ambitious and know the advantage of being data driven in your daily work

 

We think you will be a good match if you have some (or all) of the following competencies:

 

  • Skilled tonnage trader (minimum 5 years of TC chartering experience)
  • Exposure to handy size bulk carrier market
  • Good understanding of the legal implication of charterparty terms
  • Experience on time charter terms and conditions

Currently, we use primarily IMOS, Remark and TEAMs as our core IT systems. Having knowledge and working experience with these systems is advantageous but not essential.

 

We expect your English skills to be above average as it is our working language. We are proud of our diverse organisation counting more than 15 different nationalities.

The new chartering manager will be based at our newly refurbished head office in Tuborg Havn, Hellerup.
