 Area Sales Manager

Business development – Hunter – Healthcare industry 

Do you want to contribute to the business development in a market leader? As VELA’s new Area Sales Manager, you will be crucial regarding onboarding, maintaining, and developing partners within the healthcare industry in the UK. You will be given the opportunity to make a large influence on the company’s presence in the UK market, and you will contribute to a successful and growing company with a trustbased and informal culture. VELA’s products are user-friendly and of the highest quality. Job responsibilities: 

  • Onboard, maintain and develop the existing and new dealers
  • Identify new opportunities and new potential customers 
  • Map buying structure within the NHS
  • Responsible for budget and revenue plans 
  • Conduct cold-calling sessions and collaborate with sales / marketing regarding LEAD generation
  • Provide clinical demonstrations and instructions on using VELA products in pre-sale, implementation, and post-sale solutions 
  • Represent the company by participating at various trade shows or training sessions 
  • Achieve the financial KPI-targets set together with colleagues 


To be a qualified candidate for the position, you have several years of experience with business development and sales in the B2B market in the healthcare industry. You are preferably experienced in working with sales to the NHS, either directly or through a channel, and have good knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and managing business with hospitals and private clinics. It is important, that you can document your sales results and success from a similar position within the UK market. You hold a relevant commercial degree, but your specific educational background is not crucial. Most important is your experience and your personal drive to represent the VELA brand to the highest standard.  

You reside near Nottingham within a maximum driving distance of one hour.

At a personal level you are a sales-driven hunter, who is self-motivated and driven by reaching targets and creating results. You are a great communicator, and you are good a building relationship and understand value-based selling, which makes you succeed in establishing new dealers. You have great analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret sales performance and market trend information. You thrive in an independent role, and you can work autonomously and manage priorities and workload, as well as you having excellent planning and organizational skills.
