Real Estate & Land Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Real Estate & Land Acquisition Specialist to join our Environmental, Permitting & Land Department. Based in The Woodlands, TX, this role involves frequent travel to various sites across Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, and Texas.


The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a high level of agility, and a passion for acquiring new knowledge. The role includes a great variety of topics, and you can expect to be involved in projects outside your usual area of expertise. Therefore, the right candidates will demonstrate a high level of agility and perseverance combined with a natural curiosity and passion for acquiring new knowledge.


How will you contribute to our team

  • Develop and implement land acquisition strategies and plans for new renewable energy development sites.
  • Facilitate meetings with landowners to understand needs and address any obstacles.   
  • Collaborate with land agents to monitor the status of land acquisitions. 
  • Organize and present data from land agents in weekly presentations.
  • Create land lease agreements sheets with landowner’s information, land area affected compensation, etc. 
  • Evaluate, track, and generate reports on land acquisition status.


We expect you to enrich our business with the following

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in renewable energy development or construction.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology related to land lease agreements.
  • General knowledge of land definitions and relevant legislation.
  • Basic proficiency with GIS tools.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented multi-tasker.
