Accounts Receivable Controller

About the Job

You will be part of our Finance and Accounting team situated in Aalborg, Denmark. In addition, you will interact with colleagues and external partners worldwide. The company comprises fourteen entities spread globally and has over 325 employees.

The role is operational and hands-on. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from issuing and correcting invoices to maintaining master data and following up on outstanding balances and ensuring proper approvals. All tasks that are essential to keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

As the company continues to grow and refine its ways of working, you will have the chance to help shape and improve financial processes through your practical experience and insights.

You will be part of a collaborative and social team that values open dialogue and mutual support. 

Key responsibilities

• Issue, validate, and book invoices across all entities
• Reissue invoices when needed
• Create and issue credit notes
• Ensure proper approval of credit notes
• Communicate with Partners regarding invoice corrections
• Follow up on overdue balances in coordination with Project Responsibles
• Ensure timely time registration and manager approvals
• Maintain debtor master data and project master data
• Verify VAT numbers through VIES

Your daily work will be from our headquarters in Aalborg, John F. Kennedys Plads 43, with a flexible work environment.

About You

You don’t need to be a finance expert. What matters most is your ability to work with systems and data, collaborate across teams, and contribute to an international environment.

Your qualifications

• You may have a background in office administration, finance, or similar - for example, an education with a focus on accounting, financial management, or controlling
• You have experience with invoicing, payment handling, or similar financial tasks
• You are comfortable working with systems and data, and enjoy creating structure in your work
• You are comfortable in an environment where things are still developing, and you are motivated by contributing to improvements
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for communication across our global organization
